Kathy Cannon has an unfortunate affinity for extremes. From starting life in the smallest of rural towns in the Shenandoah Valley, to lead pastoring in the urban sprawl of the San Francisco Peninsula, her journey has taken her around the globe and back to connect, communicate, and coach people across diversity barriers. Her humor, interaction with the room, and storytelling style inspires listeners to not only engage with God’s Word in the moment, but follow-up with actions of their own.

Kathy and Ben have been married for over 20 years, and are the parents of six (yes, 6) kids ages 13-21. They are convinced that their loud, multi-ethnic, constantly-moving, adoption-built, trauma-informed family will change the world...as long as they all survive the teen years.

Kathy is a fourth generation Assemblies of God minister and has served as a children’s, executive, lead pastor, and sectional presbyter. She currently pastors other pastors in their personal and spiritual development as the Initiative Director for the Center for Thriving Church Planters at Northwest University. Beware, in even the briefest of conversations she may challenge you to take another step towards being who and how God has created you, consider planting a local church, find a therapist, drink better coffee, or all of the above.
